Procedure for Certification of Prefabricated Buildings, Modules, and Panels of Division B of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:Īpplication and Finishing of Gypsum BoardĪccelerated Weathering of Fire-Retardant-Treated Wood for Fire Testing Standard for Performance-Rated Cross-Laminated Timber of Division B of the Regulation is amended by adding the following Item: (2) Clause 1.4.1.2.(1)(c) of Division A of the Regulation is amended by adding the following definitions:Įncapsulated mass timber construction means a type of construction in which a degree of fire safety is attained by the use of encapsulated mass timber elements with an encapsulation rating and minimum dimensions for structural members and other buildingĮncapsulation rating means the time in minutes that a material or assembly of materials will delay the ignition and combustion of encapsulated mass timber elements when it is exposed to fire under specified conditions of test and performance criteria, or as otherwise prescribed by this Code.Ģ. (1) The definition of “ Combustible construction” in Clause 1.4.1.2.(1)(c) of Division A of Ontario Regulation 332/12 is amended by adding “or encapsulated mass timber construction” at the end.
